Matteo Burani is an animation director born in Bologna in 1991. A self-taught artist, he began his experience in stop-motion in 2010 by founding Studio Croma, where he works as a puppet maker and character designer on various projects.

Experimenting with numerous animated languages, he made his debut as a film director in 2017 with music videos, commercials and shortfilms. He is currently responsible for overseeing the puppet department at Studio Croma and handles the writing and directing of all projects.
