“Dating a suspicious man” is the first American film from Anna Zaitseva who is a renowned Russian director and screenwriter known for her films and series that focus on important social issues and the experiences of women. Her work has been recognized with over 31 international awards, including six for Best Direction and eleven for Best Film or Series.

Anna won Best Digital Series award at 31st Austin Film Festival (2024) – one of the main American festivals that celebrates and honors screenwriters with her series ”Sasha counters!”

Her feature thriller-horror “#BLUE_WHALE” produced by Timur Bekmambetov won 9 international awards, was world premiered at Fantasia FF, was nominated for ”dark matters” at Austin FF in 2022, was nominated for “free spirit” section at Warsaw International FF, and had a wide international release in more than 20 countries, and had the best international box office among Russian films in 1st quarter of 2024.

Anna has directed a feature #BLUE_WHALE and 7 TV series for main Russian channels and streaming platforms as the ONLY director, including three seasons of one of the most popular internationally awarded Russian teenage series “No, you’re stupid!” (Sama dura!). The show was created by Anna, it was based on her original extremely popular short film (36 millions views on YouTube) and  developed into a 3 seasons popular show that is known among all the young audience in Russia.
